Jefferson Community School presents Told: An Evening of Student Storytelling, Photography & Song celebrating the artistry and creativity of the JCS Students.
Starting in early February, Storyteller and local Performing Artist Brian Rohr had the opportunity to teach a 3-month long elective on the art of performative storytelling to a group of mixed age students at the Jefferson Community School. Exploring the work through improv, personal stories and ancient tales, the students had the opportunity to find their own voice in this re-emerging art.
Simultaneously, another group of JCS students participated in a separate arts elective exploring photography and song.
The culmination of these classes will be a public storytelling performance with photography and song happening on May 17th 6:30pm.
